Missing a bowl game not only deprive football fans of seeing an exciting team again, but it would take the Power Five Schools another opportunity to see the coaches freeze. With its success, Freeze is at the top of many wish lists for the Power Five openings this year, but it could be hard to get it off. Earlier this year, the NCAA waived all bowl eligibility requirements related to the COVID 19 pandemic, without the teams having to reach a minimum profit threshold. Thus, all teams are technically qualified for a bowl game this season, even if they finish with a record loss. Hugh Freeze, who led Liberty`s football team for the best start in program history this season, has agreed to a new contract until 2026, as the school announced Wednesday.
